椏溪鎮(zhèn)位于江蘇省南京市高淳區(qū)的東部，是江蘇省新型小城鎮(zhèn)之一，東與溧陽市交界、南距安徽省郎溪定埠村8公里、北與溧水區(qū)毗連。椏溪鎮(zhèn)總面積115平方公里，人口5萬人。

    椏溪?dú)v史悠久，早在三千年前就有人類活動(dòng)。椏溪集鎮(zhèn)的形成始于明崇禎末年，優(yōu)越的地理?xiàng)l件使之成為兩省四縣交界地區(qū)商貿(mào)會(huì)聚的中心。集鎮(zhèn)交通十分便利，水上通航可達(dá)蘇、錫、常、滬，是太湖的內(nèi)河黃金水道。

Yaxi town is located in the eastern of Gaochun District, Nanjing，Jiangsu Province, China. It is one of the new-type towns in Jiangsu. Yaxi border on Liyang city, 8 kilometers far from Dingfu Village in the south and is adjacent to Lishui District. Yaxi town has a total area of 115 square kilometers with a population of 50 thousand.

    The town has a long history and was found the mark of human activities three thousand years ago. Yaxi was formed at the end of Ming Dynasty. The favorable geographical conditions make Yaxi become the commercial and trade center of the junction of two provinces and four counties. The transportation is very convenient in Yaxi town. The waterways, as the golden waterway of Taihu Lake, connect to Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou, and Shanghai.
